The Fast Fashion, Critical Paths and Managing Fast Supply Chains workshop, London, 24th June 2008
Held in June in conjunction with Fast React at the BCIA, one revealing conclusion from the workshop was that, despite huge industry pressure for improved flexibility and speed of response, almost 100% of attendee companies still use manual and spreadsheet based systems for Critical Path management and supplier communication. All were dissatisfied with the lack of visibility and control offered by these methods, specifically inconsistent maintenance and visibility of changes to specifications, approvals and delivery dates.
Fast Fashion, Delhi, India 30th April 2008
A one day workshop on Fast Fashion was held with the Industry Forum's new partners Third Eyesight, based in Delhi. The creme of 'organised retail' in India attended the event at the Sheraton Hotel. The overwhelming response from the 90+ delegates was that the lessons of speed could be applied in India and significant improvements in performance could be obtained by applying the best practice principals highlighted.

Following the success in September 2007 the Industry Forum was the key workshop deliverer at Exprocostura 2008 which ran alongside Colombiatex in Medellin. With a sell out 80 delegates on each day, and lively particiaption the progrsamme was unanimously voted an outstanding success.

With the Chamber of Commerce, Bogota crammed, there was a considerable buzz as delegates listened to presentation given by TC2 and the Industry Forum. Retailer and brands from all sectors of the Colombian Industry attended with total of 250 delegates taking part. A further event was carried out in Medellin.
